When is this game set?
The game is set in 1999 and will progress at 'real time.' Therefore, June 11th, 2009 in our world will be June 11th, 1999 in the game setting, and so on and so forth.
What characters can I play/Can I play a muggleborn?
You may play any character mentioned in canon, or an OC with permission from the mods. You may play any type of character (muggleborn, half-breed) you would like so long as they fit within the society created by the AU setting. All characters must fit the setting. You may play a muggleborn, but they may not attend Hogwarts; you may play a half-breed or half-blood but they will live with restrictions, ect, ect...
How do I make a hold?
Leave a comment with the name of the character you wish to hold in the Held/Requested Characters thread. All holds last a week. You may feel free to send an email to the mods asking questions, but hold requests sent through e-mail will not be considered 'official' until they are posted in the Held Characters thread.
How can I find out more about the setting?
Our website has the most comprehensive collection of information about the game setting. If there is anything you would like to know that isn't listed there, leave a comment to this post to have it answered or send an email to the mod account: sic.infit.mods@gmail.com.
What about character journals?
Keeping an IC character journal is optional, but not necessary. For more information on how the journaling system works, see this post.
